A delightful cake featuring layers of fluffy vanilla cake, rich vanilla pudding, and glossy chocolate ganache.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup chocolate ganache (chocolate and heavy cream)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine flour and baking powder in another bowl. Gradually add to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk.
  5. Pour the batter into prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes before turning out onto wire racks to cool completely.
  7. Prepare the vanilla pudding according to package instructions and chill.
  8. Place one cake layer on a serving plate, spread vanilla pudding on top, and place the second layer on top.
  9. Pour chocolate ganache over the cake, letting it drip down the sides.
  10. Slice and serve once set.
