Caprese Chicken

A delightful Italian dish featuring juicy chicken breasts topped with creamy mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and fragrant basil, drizzled with balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken breasts
  • 8 oz Fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 2 Ripe tomatoes
  • 1 cup Fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup Balsamic glaze
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Heat a splash of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for about 5-7 minutes per side.
  4. Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish.
  5. Top each chicken breast with slices of mozzarella and tomatoes.
  6. Drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until fully cooked and the cheese is melted.

Notes

Serve with a fresh arugula salad or crusty garlic bread for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
