Lively and colorful chicken lettuce wraps that are perfect for any occasion, bringing freshness and flavor to the dinner table.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, diced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Lettuce leaves (Bibb or iceberg work best)
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Introduce the ground chicken to the pan, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
  4. Stir in the diced water chestnuts, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil, and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  5. Spoon the chicken mixture into prepared lettuce leaves and top each wrap with chopped green onions. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use any ground meat you prefer—turkey or beef are good alternatives. Don’t skip the water chestnuts for essential crunch.
