A rich and silky chocolate pie with a fluffy cream topping, perfect for family gatherings and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Chocolate shavings (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the pie crust according to package instructions and let it cool completely.
  2. Melt the chopped chocolate in a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
  3. Cream the softened butter with the powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix in the melted chocolate and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the chocolate mixture into the cooled pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  6. Refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours or until set.
  7. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form and spread it over the chilled pie.
  8. Garnish the pie with chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Enjoy with vanilla ice cream or fresh berries.
