Cilantro Lime Grilled Shrimp

A vibrant and fresh grilled shrimp recipe marinated in lime juice and cilantro, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the Marinade: In a bowl, combine shrimp, cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly with the marinade.
  2. Refrigerate to Marinate: Cover and refrigerate for 15-30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the Grill: Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Skewer the Shrimp (if desired): Thread them onto skewers, leaving space between each shrimp.
  5. Grill the Shrimp: Place the shrimp on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  6. Serve Immediately: Remove from heat and serve while fresh and hot.

Notes

Don’t skip the marinade for maximum flavor and tenderness. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days.
