French Silk Brownies

Decadent homemade brownies with a fudgy, chocolaty texture and a silky smooth finish.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Chocolate ganache for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, mixing until fully combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly with a spatula.
  7. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before slicing. Top with chocolate ganache if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or a week in the fridge. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months.
