A delightful Funfetti Cake that brings joy to any celebration with colorful sprinkles and a moist, fluffy texture.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk them together until thoroughly mixed.
  3. Beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time to the butter-sugar mixture, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
  6. Fold in the rainbow sprinkles until evenly distributed.
  7. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  10. Frost with your favorite frosting and decorate with more rainbow sprinkles.

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother batter. Don’t overmix once you add the flour to keep the cake light.
