Vibrant, festive Funfetti Sugar Cookies that bring a sprinkle of happiness with every bite!

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream the softened butter with the granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg along with the vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  6. Fold in the rainbow sprinkles.
  7. Using a tablespoon, drop balls of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake in the oven until the edges turn golden, approximately 8-10 minutes.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature, where they will stay fresh for up to one week. Consider freezing the dough for longer storage.
