Delicious and comforting Greek meatballs, rich in flavor and easy to make, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients in a large bowl, mixing ground meat, breadcrumbs, parmesan, parsley, onion, garlic, egg, oregano, salt, pepper, and milk.
  2. Mix thoroughly with clean hands, being careful not to overmix.
  3. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until hot.
  5. Cook meatballs in batches until browned and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes.
  6. Serve warm with tzatziki sauce or over a fresh salad.

Notes

For a variation, try adding chopped olives or sun-dried tomatoes, or use ground chicken or turkey.
