Ground Turkey Taco Bowls

A celebratory dish of ground turkey and vibrant toppings that brings the flavors of Mexico to your dinner table.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup cooked rice or quinoa
  • 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup corn, frozen or canned
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced avocado
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • Sour cream and salsa for serving

Instructions

  1. Sauté the turkey in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
  2. Drain the excess fat and add taco seasoning along with a splash of water; stir and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Create a base in serving bowls by layering cooked rice or quinoa, seasoned turkey, black beans, corn, and diced tomatoes.
  4. Top with shredded lettuce, diced avocado, and cheese.
  5. Serve with sour cream and salsa on the side.

Notes
