A classic Southern dish perfect for gatherings, featuring shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes boiled together with spices.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 4 ears of corn, cut in halves
  • 1 lb baby potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil and add Old Bay seasoning and halved lemon.
  2. Cook the baby potatoes for about 10 minutes.
  3. Add the sliced smoked sausage and corn halves, boiling together for another 5 minutes.
  4. Toss in the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Drain the pot and serve the Low Country Boil on a large platter.

Notes

Serve with melted butter for dipping and plenty of napkins! A fresh garden salad or coleslaw complements the meal.
