Parmesan Crusted Chicken

Deliciously crispy and golden chicken with a flavorful Parmesan crust that melts in your mouth.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • Olive oil, for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking our golden masterpiece.
  2. Whisk the eggs in a shallow bowl until they are a smooth mixture.
  3. Combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in another bowl.
  4. Prepare the chicken by dipping each breast into the whisked eggs for an even coating.
  5. Coat the egg-coated chicken in the Parmesan mixture, pressing gently for an even crust.
  6. Sear the chicken in a skillet with olive oil over medium heat for about 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the seared chicken to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  8. Serve the chicken hot after letting it rest for a couple of minutes.

Notes

Pat the chicken dry before coating for better crust adherence. Experiment with different cheeses or add herbs for flavor variations.
