A classic Quiche Lorraine with crispy bacon and creamy cheese, perfect for brunch or any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (Gruyère or Swiss)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy and crumble into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until combined.
  4. Assemble by placing the pie crust in a pie dish; layer crumbled bacon and shredded cheese on the bottom.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set and golden brown.
  7. Cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with a simple green salad or chilled white wine for a delightful meal.
