A creamy, vibrant dessert that combines the rich flavors of red velvet and cheesecake for an indulgent treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 cup red food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Combine the crushed graham crackers, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar in a bowl.
  3. Press this mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
  4. Beat the cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar together until smooth.
  5. Add the sour cream, eggs, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and red food coloring, and mix until smooth.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in your springform pan.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes until the center is set.
  8. Cool for about an hour at room temperature before chilling in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours.

Notes

For a firmer crust, bake the crust for 10 minutes before adding the cheesecake filling. Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for a smooth batter.
