Salted Caramel Brownies

Indulge in rich chocolate brownies balanced with luscious salted caramel for a delightful dessert experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce
  • Sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter and mix in the granulated and brown sugars until combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then fold into the wet mixture.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the brownie batter.
  8. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top and drizzle the rest of the caramel sauce.
  9. Use a knife to swirl the caramel into the brownie batter.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  11. Allow to cool and sprinkle sea salt on top before cutting into squares.

Notes

Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for a week. Can be frozen for up to three months.
