Recreate the carnival classic Fried Oreos at home with this easy recipe that results in a crunchy, sweet treat dusted with powdered sugar.

Ingredients

  • 12 Oreos
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan to around 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together the flour, milk, egg, and baking powder in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Coat each Oreo in the batter fully.
  4. Fry the battered Oreos for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with chocolate sauce or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
