Hibachi Chicken

A quick and flavorful hihabi chicken recipe inspired by Japanese steakhouses, perfect for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or hibachi grill over medium-high heat.
  5. Carefully add the marinated chicken to the pan and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Toss in the butter towards the end of cooking for added richness.
  7. Garnish the cooked chicken with chopped green onions and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, add sesame oil to the marinade. Can use firm tofu or vegetables for a vegetarian option.
