A nostalgic dessert with rich chocolate filling, fluffy marshmallows, and a buttery graham cracker crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and allow to cool.
  2. In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips, stirring until smooth.
  3. Add the heavy cream and vanilla extract to the melted chocolate, whisking until everything is well combined.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and fold in the mini marshmallows until they are evenly distributed throughout the chocolate mixture.
  5. Pour the filling into the cooled crust and spread it evenly.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
  7. Before serving, sprinkle with chopped pecans if desired.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The crust may soften over time but the flavors remain delightful.
