Delightful oatmeal raisin cookies that blend chewy oats and sweet raisins for a comforting treat.

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and optional cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually blend the dry mixture into the creamed mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the rolled oats and raisins until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets before transferring them to wire racks.
