A quick and elegant Shrimp Scampi Pasta with a buttery, garlicky sauce and a hint of lemon.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Boil the Pasta: Cook the linguine or spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt the Butter and Oil: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and olive oil together.
  3. Sauté the Garlic and Peppers: Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Cook the Shrimp: Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Add Wine and Lemon: Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, and bring to a simmer.
  6. Season to Taste: Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Toss in the Pasta: Toss the cooked pasta with the shrimp mixture.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Pair with a green salad and white wine for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
