Delicious teriyaki chicken skewers marinated in a sweet and savory sauce, grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. Mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight in the refrigerator for more flavor).
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, spacing them out evenly for proper cooking.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  6. Serve hot, optionally garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for a fresh finish.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding red bell peppers, zucchini, or pineapple chunks to the skewers. Marinate overnight for maximum flavor.
