A comforting bread pudding that transforms stale bread into a warm and delightful dessert, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cubed bread
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter (for greasing the pan)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Soak the cubed bread and milk, letting the bread soak for about 10 minutes.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  4. Combine the egg mixture into the soaked bread. Stir in raisins if using.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the greased baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes
