Ingredients
Scale
1 pound chicken breast, diced
1/2 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 bell pepper, chopped
2 green onions, sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
Create the Marinade: In a bowl, mix together the orange juice, soy sauce, honey, and cornstarch to create a smooth marinade.
Marinate the Chicken: Add the diced chicken to the marinade. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes to soak in all the flavors.
Heat the Oil: In a large pan over medium heat, pour in the olive oil and let it warm up while you prepare the chicken.
Cook the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade (be sure to reserve the marinade!) and add it to the heated pan. Cook until the chicken is browned on all sides and fully cooked through.
Add the Bell Pepper: Once the chicken is cooked, toss in the chopped bell pepper and sauté until it’s tender, adding a lovely crunch to the dish.
Thicken the Sauce: Pour the reserved marinade into the pan and bring it to a boil, stirring until it thickens beautifully.
Finish and Garnish: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Just before serving, sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for that final touch of flair.
Notes
For extra flavor, add garlic and ginger to the marinade. Use any color bell pepper for varied sweetness.
