Delicious oatmeal chocolate chip cookies that blend chewy oats and rich chocolate chips, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Combine the rolled oats, flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week; can be frozen for up to three months.
