A luscious, creamy dessert made with three types of milk, perfect for celebrations.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Sliced strawberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, incorporating each fully before adding the next. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Mix the flour mixture into the wet ingredients gradually until well combined.
  6. Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool completely in the pan.
  9. Mix the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and whole milk until smooth.
  10. Poke holes all over the top of the cake using a fork.
  11. Pour the milk mixture evenly over the cake.
  12. Chill for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  13. Serve topped with whipped cream and strawberries, if desired.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing and soak the cake overnight for maximum flavor.
