  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Mix the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl until combined.
  4. Combine the chocolate chips and chopped pecans into the batter.
  5. Layer half the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Drizzle caramel sauce over the batter generously.
  7. Top with the remaining brownie batter, covering the caramel.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool before cutting into squares and serve with extra caramel if desired.

Notes
