Delicious carne asada tacos filled with grilled marinated flank steak, topped with fresh onions and cilantro, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound carne asada (marinated flank steak)
  • 12 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup chopped cilantro
  • Lime wedges
  • Salt to taste
  • Salsa (optional)

Instructions

  1. Grill the carne asada: Heat your grill to medium-high heat and lay the carne asada down carefully. Grill for 5-7 minutes per side or until it’s cooked to your preference. Let those juices lock in while you get a perfect char on the outside.
  2. Rest & slice the meat: Once grilled to perfection, remove the carne asada from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, slice it into thin strips.
  3. Warm the corn tortillas: While the meat is resting, warm the corn tortillas in a skillet or right on the grill for a few seconds on each side.
  4. Assemble the tacos: Take one warm tortilla and place a generous portion of carne asada in the center.
  5. Top with onions and cilantro: Sprinkle on the chopped onions and fresh cilantro.
  6. Finish with lime juice & salsa: Squeeze a wedge of lime over the top and add salsa if desired.
  7. Serve immediately: Enjoy your tacos right away while everything is hot and fresh.

Notes

For added flavor, make sure the carne asada is fully marinated before grilling. If you don’t have cilantro, you can substitute with fresh parsley.
