A rich and creamy chocolate silk pie that’s a timeless classic, perfect for chocolate lovers.

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-baked pie crust
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whipped cream for topping
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt the dark chocolate chips over a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring until smooth. Allow to cool slightly before adding it to the mixture.
  2. Cream the softened butter in a mixing bowl until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add the melted chocolate and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until all is well incorporated.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the mixture is silky and smooth.
  5. Pour the luscious chocolate filling into your pre-baked pie crust and smooth out the top with a spatula.
  6. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or until the filling has set and is firm to the touch.
  7. Top the pie with whipped cream and sprinkle chocolate shavings over the top before serving.

Notes

Serve with fresh berries, vanilla ice cream, or raspberry sauce for an elevated dessert experience.
