This Cilantro Lime Shrimp is bright, fresh, packed with flavor, and incredibly simple to make. The zesty lime juice and fragrant cilantro create a delightful marinade for the shrimp.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, combine lime juice, olive oil, cilantro, garlic, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Coat the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat.
  3. Marinate: Let the shrimp marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Heat the Skillet: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat until it’s hot.
  5. Cook the Shrimp: Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are pink and opaque.
  6. Serve & Garnish: Serve immediately with additional cilantro and lime wedges if desired.

Notes

Use fresh lime juice for the best flavor. Don’t marinate the shrimp for too long; 15-20 minutes is perfect.
