Delight in these easy-to-make fish tacos filled with flaky white fish, crunchy cabbage, creamy avocado, and zesty pico de gallo, bringing the taste of summer right to your home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb white fish (such as cod or tilapia)
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 lime (juiced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup cabbage (shredded)
  • 1 avocado (sliced)
  • Pico de gallo or salsa
  • Cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the fish by combining chili powder, cumin, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture all over the fish and let it sit for a few minutes.
  2. Cook the fish in a preheated skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and flaky.
  3. Warm the corn tortillas in another skillet or in the microwave until they are warm and pliable.
  4. Assemble the tacos by placing the cooked fish on a warm tortilla.
  5. Top with shredded cabbage, avocado slices, and pico de gallo or salsa. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
  6. Serve with lime wedges on the side for a zesty flavor boost.

Notes

To avoid overcooking the fish, use a meat thermometer; it should reach 145°F when done.
