A refreshing and tangy Key Lime Pie with a sweet graham cracker crust and fluffy whipped cream topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed graham crackers
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh key lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Stir until well mixed, then press this delicious mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly browned. Once done, let the crust cool completely.
  2. Whisk together the egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and lime zest until well blended and smooth. Pour this mixture into your cooled crust, spreading it evenly.
  3. Return the pie to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes to set the filling. When the timer goes off, remove it from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
  4. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours. This step is essential for achieving that perfect slice.
  5. Beat the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Once your pie is ready to be enjoyed, spread this fluffy whipped cream generously over the top.

Notes

Use freshly squeezed key lime juice for the best flavor. Chill properly for better texture.
