A fun twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, these sliders feature tender roasted beef, sautéed onions, and melted provolone cheese nestled in soft, buttery rolls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef (like ribeye or flank steak)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 8 slider rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Butter (for toasting the rolls)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, sautéing until they are soft and fragrant.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper to enhance the flavors.
  3. While the beef is cooking, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) so it’s ready for the final bake.
  4. Slice the slider rolls in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish. Prepare them to hold all the delicious filling!
  5. Layer the beef mixture on the rolls, making sure to evenly distribute the sautéed veggies and beef.
  6. Top the beef with slices of provolone cheese, allowing its melty goodness to create a creamy layer of deliciousness.
  7. Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese, holding all that wonderful filling together.
  8. Brush the tops with melted butter, which will lend a golden crispiness to the rolls once baked. Cover the dish with foil.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and the rolls are warmed through.
  10. Serve warm and dig in! Your sliders are ready to share and enjoy.

Notes

Customize your sliders by adding mushrooms, jalapeños, or caramelized onions for deeper flavor. Use high-quality beef for the best results.
