A delightful and moist cake soaked in three types of milk, perfect for celebrations and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for whipping cream)
  • Fresh fruit or berries (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9Ɨ13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine the flour and baking powder in a bowl; set aside.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture alternating with the whole milk, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and bake for about 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool slightly, then poke holes all over the top with a fork.
  8. Combine the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream in a mixing bowl; stir until combined.
  9. Pour the milk mixture over the warm cake, ensuring it seeps into all the holes.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  11. Whip the heavy cream with the additional 1/4 cup sugar until stiff peaks form, then spread over the cake.
  12. Garnish with fresh fruit or berries before serving.

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother batter. Allowing the cake to sit overnight enhances the flavors.
