A creamy, dreamy blackberry ice cream that captures the essence of summer, made with fresh blackberries, heavy cream, and a hint of lemon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups blackberries
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Puree the blackberries in a blender until smooth.
  2. Combine the blackberry puree, heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl, and whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions for about 20-25 minutes.
  4. Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours until firm.
  5. Scoop the ice cream into bowls and enjoy.

Notes

For a seedless texture, strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve. Serve with chocolate sauce or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
