These Buffalo Cauliflower Bites are a lighter, plant-based twist on the classic buffalo wings, featuring a spicy kick and crispy exterior.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head cauliflower
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Cauliflower: Remove the leaves and cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
  3. Whisk the Batter: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt.
  4. Coat the Cauliflower: Dip each floret into the batter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake the Cauliflower: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Prepare the Buffalo Sauce: Combine the buffalo sauce and olive oil in a separate bowl.
  7. Toss and Re-Bake: Toss the baked cauliflower in the buffalo sauce mixture and return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.
  8. Serve and Enjoy!: Serve hot as an appetizer or snack.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider air frying the cauliflower instead of baking and double coat the florets.
