Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound white fish (like cod or tilapia)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 lime (cut into wedges)
  • Sour cream or crema (optional)
  • Avocado slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Toss the fish with olive oil, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Cook the fish on the grill or skillet until it’s opaque and flakes easily, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Combine the shredded cabbage and chopped cilantro in a bowl for the slaw.
  5. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
  6. Assemble the tacos by adding flaked fish and slaw to the tortillas, topping with avocado and sour cream if desired.
  7. Serve with lime wedges on the side for added flavor.

Notes

Pair with mango salsa and a crisp white wine. Best enjoyed fresh with customizable toppings.
