A velvety chocolate pie with a creamy filling nestled in a crisp, golden crust, perfect for indulging in sweet moments.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
  • 6 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the pie crust according to package directions. Let it cool completely before adding the luscious filling.
  2. Melt the semisweet chocolate in a double boiler over low heat until smooth, stirring often. Allow it to cool slightly.
  3. Cream the butter and granulated sugar together in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Incorporate the cooled chocolate and vanilla extract into the creamed mixture. Mix well until fully combined.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Beat well after each addition until fluffy.
  6. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form in a separate bowl.
  7. Combine the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture gently to maintain the airy texture.
  8. Fill the cooled pie crust with the chocolate filling and spread evenly.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set firmly.
  10. Serve chilled and enjoy with a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

Use quality chocolate for best flavor. Chill the mixing bowl for lighter whipped cream.
