Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 taco shells
  • Toppings: lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef in a skillet over medium heat along with the onion and garlic until the meat is browned and the onions are translucent.
  2. Drain the excess fat from the skillet to keep your tacos light and satisfying.
  3. Mix in the taco seasoning and 1/2 cup of water, stirring until well combined.
  4. Simmer for about 5 minutes to allow all flavors to meld together.
  5. Assemble each taco shell with spoonfuls of the seasoned beef mixture.
  6. Add your favorite toppings such as shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese, and sour cream.

Notes

Adjust the spice level with jalapeños or hot sauce. Ground turkey or chicken can be used as alternatives to beef.
