Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Create the topping by combining rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, and salt, then cut in the cold butter.
  4. Assemble the crisp by spreading the oat mixture evenly over the apples.
  5. Bake for about 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream.
