Ingredients

  • Scallops
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Olive oil
  • Butter
  • Lemon juice
  • Garlic
  • Parsley

Instructions

  1. Pat the scallops dry with a paper towel and season them with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Sear the scallops in the pan for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Add butter and minced garlic to the pan, followed by fresh lemon juice, and baste the scallops.
  5. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use dry-packed scallops and avoid overcrowding the pan while searing.
