A vibrant and flavorful Italian pasta dish featuring shrimp, garlic, and crushed tomatoes, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the spaghetti. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the aromatics. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Cook the shrimp. Add the shrimp to the skillet, cooking for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink.
  4. Simmer the sauce. Pour in the wine and let it simmer for 2 minutes, then add the crushed tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper, stir, and let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Combine and serve. Toss the cooked spaghetti with the shrimp and sauce. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.
