Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pounds pork shoulder
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 orange, juiced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, orange juice, lime juice, cumin, chili powder, oregano, salt, pepper, and chicken broth.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shredded.
  4. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred with two forks, letting the juices soak into the meat for maximum flavor.
  5. For crispy edges, spread the shredded pork on a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 5-10 minutes until the edges are crispy.
  6. Serve with warm tortillas, fresh salsa, and your favorite toppings. Enjoy the festivity!
